Car Innovation to come from the outside of the automakers

For about two years now Google has been studied with their, “Self-Driving Fleet” of vehicles. We’ve also seen several students at many Univeristy programs across the country, take shape with automotive innovation. With many of the automakers playing catch up, they are now turning to independent developers to create native apps for their dashboards.

Essentially what this means is an ” Appstore Marketplace, ” in every vehicle allowing the developers to deliver the innovation after vehicles leave the factory to the showroom floor. Transportation Technology Ventures is a great example of what it will take to bridge the gap between the automotive and high-tech.
